11 Awesome Places to Work in Berawa, Canggu (2023)

11 Awesome Places to Work in Berawa, Canggu (2022 Update)

Berawa is undoubtedly one of the best places in Bali to live and work online.

Nestled between the sleepy expat neighbourhood of Umalas and the vibrant tourist spots of Batu Bolong, Berawa is the slightly less busy, foodie side of Canggu.

Besides having great food, there is also a great selection of amazing spots to work from.

Best Places to Work in Berawa

Canggu is a digital nomad’s heaven, with an infinite number of coffee shops and some of the world’s best coworking spaces. It might be difficult choosing where to work in Berawa because there are so many options to choose from!

That’s why I’ve broken down the top 11 coffee shops and coworking spaces in Berawa, Canggu.

The selections were made based on wifi speed, food and drink options, charging availability and overall ambiance.

Tropical Nomad – Coworking Space

Tropical Nomad is without a doubt my favorite coworking space in Canggu. It’s one of the newer Canggu coworking spots, so it isn’t as crowded as some of the other options.

The building and grounds are stunning, with plenty of palms trees, an open yard, and cabanas. The indoor area is also fantastic, and they have a ton of different seating areas and working spaces to choose from.

They offer great amenities like fast wifi, coffee, tea and water all day long.

It’s actually situated on the infamous shortcut between Berawa and Batu Bolong, but it’s easy enough to get to from Berawa so we’re going to count it.

DUA TIGA – Coffee Shop

DuaTiga Cafe is a fantastic location to spend some time working while getting some great food too. They have a massive menu for food and drink, exquisite coffee (ask for the cortado), and a small air-conditioned section on the ground level.

Even if you’re not working, I would still come here for the food alone – especially if you’re looking for a healthy protein filled brunch.

This is one of my first stops every time I come back to Bali.

Outpost – Coworking Space

Outpost is targeted towards serious entrepeneurs and people looking to knuckle down and get work done. This could be a perfect fit for you if you want high-speed wifi, sound-proof offices, lockers, and you just want to ‘get on with work’.

They have a nice pool and the overall atmosphere is pretty cool, but in my opinion the space is kind of small and it can get quite busy.

It’s still a good option, it’s just that there are so many great options to choose from in Canggu!

Nude – Coffee Shop / Restaurant

Nude is a fantastic brunch restaurant that lots of digital nomads choose to work from.

They even have an air conditioned section, complete with power outlets and strong wifi (and even stronger coffee!).

The food selection is good and the flatbreads are an absolute must!

Milu by Nook – Coffee Shop / Restaurant

Milu by Nook is one of the coolest, best decorated restaurants in Berawa with some fantastic food options.

The decor is immaculate, the food is next-level and the staff are so friendly. I became a regular here and looked forward to working from here every day.

This is definitely my top pick from this section. You have to try it out. Even without working, it’s well worth an evening visit!

Brunch Club – Coffee Shop

There are a few Brunch Clubs jotted around Bali, however the one in Berawa is our favourite. They serve up great brunch food, fantastic smoothies and as a twist, they have a view of the local equestrian centre.

So if watching horses gallop around while you crack on with some digital nomading is your thing, then brunch club is a great alternative option.

They also have fast wifi and an air conditioned room to work from.

Cinta Cafe – Coffee Shop

Cinta Cafe has a great garden setting, lots of seating and some beautifully crafted meals.

There are usually people here working from their laptops, while sipping away on a flat white in the garden.

There aren’t that many power outlets though, so make sure your laptop is charged before you come.

Satu Satu – Coffee Shop

This is my favourite coffee shop on this list, and also one of the most affordable.

They have a great selection of strong Indonesian coffee (make sure to try the 4 shot cortado!) and some lovely breakfast food too. They produce all of their own coffee too.

The only downside is that it can get very busy, so there’s not usually a lot of seating options to choose from.

Hungry Bird – Coffee Shop

Hungry Bird is another incredible Balinese coffee shop,

They have award winning barristas, lots of coffee options and some affordable food options too.

I actually prefer to come here for breakfast and a coffee before starting work. While you can work here and some people do, there is not a lot of seating available so you may struggle to find a spot.

Mowies – Coffee Shop / Restaurant

Mowies has a chilled island vibe and some beautiful fusion food too.

The wifi is great, the decor and ambience are top notch and there are even international plugs available everywhere around the seats.

There is a also a nice pool to hang out at too – it feels like the Gili Islands in Berawa!

Warung Dua – Coffee Shop / Restaurant

Warung Dua is such a great option that I almost feel bad about giving the secret away. The food selection is varied and affordable, the wifi is strong and the service is impeccable.

They serve Indonesian / Japanese fusion food which you can choose yourself from the counter. Plus a huge selection of salads, breakfast items and coffee.

It’s actually situated in Umalas, which is only a few minutes drive away from Berawa.
