As entertaining as Mexico City is, it is highly polluted, less so in rainy season, and the traffic is insane. For people with respiratory illness, the high altitude can be dangerous. There is also the occasional ash and toxic gas from nearby Popocatepetl volcano, and the city is in a seismic risk zone. In Mexico, Guadajara is nearly as connected logistically, less polluted and has excellent infrastructure and medical care.
